Three Chase apps is suspicious

Opened a Chase account so I could open a savings account for the 1.5%
First alarm bell is that NatWest can't verify my new payee (me) details. Why not? I can still make transfers at my own risk.
Second is that there are three different Chase apps on the Play Store! Take your pick...
I like the idea of 1.5% but this has scam written all over it.
Can't gamble £k on this. I'm out.

Three apps? AFAIK there is a North American and UK version.
Chase are currently not part of CoP, confirmation of payee. Do what everyone else does, transfer in a quid to make sure you've entered the details correctly.1 -
Pick the correct U.K. chase app
Also I don’t think JP Morgan are scammers0 -
Did that, and back again. Any scammer could operate a transaction and provide you with some made up account number and pretty looking app.
'JP' list three apps.
Just ain't worth risking life savings.

You can never be too careful, but it's a little melodramatic.Blacklight said:Opened a Chase account so I could open a savings account for the 1.5%

You must not use any online banking or app in that case.Blacklight said:Did that, and back again. Any scammer could operate a transaction and provide you with some made up account number and pretty looking app.

Chase only have two apps in the Play Store, the US and the UK ones. JP Morgan have three, but those are not Chase apps.
The one you want is at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chase.intl
The reason your NatWest or any bank will not be able to validate the account is as above, Chase is not yet participating in the Confirmation of Payee system, although they plan to be soon. Most people send a £1 payment first and check that it arrives correctly before transferring larger amounts.
There are people here who have had the accounts since October last year when they were first launched and many more since they introduced the higher interest rate on the savings accounts. The accounts are also part of the FSCS protection scheme up to £85k per person.
It certainly isn't a scam and provided you take a few precautions such as the small initial transfer the risks of your money going missing are no higher than transferring it to a high street bank like NatWest.1 -
This is certainly not a scam and I have been using them for the last month. Maybe you should just carry on queuing to pay in or withdraw your savings from your local bank.3

Tried to transfer some money in and NatWest have put a 72hr hold on it pending talking to me.
Clearly triggered something.
