Hi I posted a question a while back but now what it is we’re waiting for and there has been developments.
I bought a house nearly 20 month ago and still no sign of been put on land register. My solicitor informed me that they are waiting a DS1 form from the sellers solicitors they sent one but it was incorrect. The sellers solicitors have not been replying and my solicitor says there is nothing else they can do but chase it up.
I’m concerned as now they are saying that the requisition for the land register has been cancelled until this form is sent.
I’m concerned as to what will happen if I come to sell the house and I am not on the land register.
Is there anything else that I can do to get this to happen or is it literally just in my solicitors hands.
I feel this should of been sorted out prior to completion as I am unable to register I am the owner of the property with the land registry.
If anyone knows anything about it this stuff and can give me some advice that would be great.

It’s asking a different question as I found out about the form and am asking about the form if there’s anything I can do. And the fact the requisition has now been cancelled by the land register

Nothing you can personally do.  This is a matter for the seller's solicitor and the seller's mortgage lender.

A DS1 is a notice of discharge which the lender sends to the Land Registry once completion has occurred and the charge (i.e. the outstanding mortgage) has been redeemed and needs to be removed from the title.  It cannot be sorted out before completion as the mortgage won't have been been paid off prior to completion.
