Now, if only I had not invested my £20k ISA allowance for this year in a S&S ISA, currently yielding minus 5.13% 🤦♂️ 😂0

This is not a new issue, but a change to the existing Fixed Rate Cash ISA Exclusive Issue 2. So anyone who already took out that issue at a rate of 1.5% automatically benefits from the new 1.76% rate.sparkyspark said:Virgin 1 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA Exclusive now upto 1.76%- This ISA is open to customers with a current account from Virgin Money, Clydesdale Bank or Yorkshire Bank (apart from our Essential Current Account or any account opened with Northern Rock)

MSE, how come this one's not listed on the top Cash ISAs page? Beats the listed one year fixed term ones listed.

Perhaps because it isn't a one year fixed term account?DavidT67 said:MSE, how come this one's not listed on the top Cash ISAs page? Beats the listed one year fixed term ones listed.
It matures on 28 April 2023, regardless of opening date, so is currently an eleven-and-a-bit month fixed term account for anyone opening one now....0 -
That terminology doesn't make sense, an account/investment that yields a minus figure means you are paying interest to keep that account open (somewhat like a loan).wiseonesomeofthetime said:Now, if only I had not invested my £20k ISA allowance for this year in a S&S ISA, currently yielding minus 5.13% 🤦♂️ 😂
You're not paying 5.13% (per annum) to keep your S&S ISA open, much more plausible that your S&S ISA is currently showing a loss of c. 5.13% however its just a paper loss and you would only realise that loss if you sell now."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

I regretfully opened 2-year fixed cash isa for 1.5% in April
. Not sure if worthy to close that account (lost 90-day interests) and move them to this higher rate

Can't you just do an ISA to ISA transfer without any loss of interest?

You can always transfer an ISA but fixed always carry some penalty when moving before the term is up, even if moving in house.

You usually can if it's an Easy Access ISA, but Fixed Rate ISAs almost always carry a penalty if you close them or transfer your funds to another ISA before the end of the fixed period.thor said:
