IFL Pet insurance

My cat has been poorly recently and I've had to pay over 300 pounds in vet bills, with more to come. I have had pet insurance forever, but rarely use it (thankfully!). I know I still have it, as the direct debits are paid every month, but can I heck find any paperwork or emails with any insurance docs. The direct debit is being paid to IFL pet insurance, but when I googled that it seems to be an umbrella company that owns most of the companies who sell pet insurance, with no direct number being available that I can find. Can anyone advise how I can find out who my insurance is actually with so I can contact them to make a claim? I've recently changed banks accounts so can't even check historic records to see who I was paying previously. I just can't believe I can't find this info, I'm usually very organised with things like this!

You could contact customerqueries@insurancefactory.co.uk or alternatively some of their brands have Live Chat facilities and telephone numbers... I'd strongly suspect their systems aren't setup that they cannot search across multiple brands they operate under. May be worth having the reference number on the DD to hand as they may be able to use that depending on their approach to those references.1

Hi there,
Did you manage to find out who IFL actually were, I am in similar position where I can see payments going out to IFL but I have no recollection of dealing with them.0 -
IFL is part of Markerstudy Group who sit behind various pet insurance brands Markerstudy Broking | Pet insurance0

Same situation here, no idea where IFL came into it. Trouble is we aren't sure who we took policy out with. IFL appear to be impossible to contact so far.

Asda has no license to be an insurer. If you look at the bottom of the Pet Insurance page on Asda's website it states:
Asda Pet Insurance is arranged and administered by Insurance Factory Limited. Insurance Factory Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority
As IFL is authorised by the FCA then they aren't the insurer either as all insurers in the UK have to be authorised by the PRA. A quick look at the policy book states Zenith Insurance in Gibraltar are the actual insurers/underwriters. IFL could be acting under a delegated authority from Zenith and on the basis of the complaints process not including Zenith then it looks like they do.0 -
