Suggestions to replace provider from Asda Mobile PAYG

Any suggestions for an alternative PAYG mobile provider to replace Asda mobile?

I have been very happy with Asda mobile PAYG for a number of years but since they have has moved provider to Vodaphone it is no-longer possible to top-up using cash.  I will need to transfer my existing number to them.

Your network provider will switch to O2 so check coverage for your area beforehand.

Asda mobile standard PAYG rates : 4p/min, 4p/text, 4p/MB. Took 5 seconds to check.

Tesco mobile standard PAYG rates: No idea, I'm obviously too stupid/impatient to decipher the screed of information contained on their website. Anyone?

As most people on payg hardly use their fone, i am one of them, rwg , runs on ee, for a £5 top up you get a free bundle which renews every month, of 50 mins or texts,and 250mb. The £5 stops as credit and does not expire.
Top ups of £5 or more by voucher at any paypoint shop

Not quite sure what you mean no longer using cash, you can buy, with cash Asda top vouchers in most corner shops that sell phone top up vouchers

However the rwg suggestion above is a good one without any strings

UPDATE, jsut read you other thread, looking like I may be joining you once my credit runs out. I do have rwg SIM and no spam yet, but then it's old 2g flip top so it would be balck hole anyway

With rwg u need 2 use it at least once every 3 months,so just send a text or call from ur free bundle 2 keep sim alive

Unfortunately no you can't.  Used to be able to but none of them can supply Asda Mobile vouchers since the move to vodaphone.

How does RWG work, can I get a SIM card locally and top-up using cash?  How about transferring my old number would that involve some convoluted procedure like setting-up an online account with them or is it easier than that.

You order sim on website. Dont know if you pay the £5 via card or voucher,as i didnt need to add credit when i got the sim.
Transfering your number,you ring them with your pac code.
Like i said before you top up with cash at any paypoint shop.
I recomend them,been with them for a while now,no problems.
What i also like is they dont bother you with spam,like wanting you to get a paid for monthly bundle
