I purchased shoes online from this designer website. They are based in France and we’re sold by a private seller in Germany
The shoes are not the correct colour and have marks on the sole (when they were described as new and unworn)
The site says no returns but I believe my rights say different!

I would imagine your rights lie in the country of the seller rather than the platform, but happy to be corrected.
Did you pay for the checking service? This should have picked up any issues.1 -

Individual seller
I bought my item from an Individual Seller
“Items purchased from individual sellers are not eligible for returns. What we do offer is a really simple alternative: In just a couple of clicks (and we’re not kidding) you can relist your item for free:”

Have you actually contacted the seller or vestiaire collective?

If they were checked and passed by Vestaire then it's them you need to take it up with, they should have failed quality control and been returned to the seller.ashpan said:

i understood that anything sold online in the EU was subject to a 14 day rejection period when you could return the items but they dont seem to be adhering to this, anything i can do?0

So this site is nothing more than a designer ebay. While they do check that they are genuine designer goods. They are not selling the item. So your claim is against the seller. Who as a private seller means you have to take it up with them.Life in the slow lane0 -
But where it might get murky is that the seller sends the item to a Vestaire authentication point. There it should be thoroughly checked that not only is it genuine, but that it meets the sellers description. This is a separate service paid for by the buyer.born_again said:

this is the point Vestaire should have noticed discrepancies and returned the shoes to the seller, refunding the buyer, so whilst usually a seller would be responsible the OP has also paid Vestaire for a service thats not been done adequately IYSWIM.0 -
did you miss the line
- Individual Sellers are fashion lovers with pre-loved items that they’re looking to sell.
