Aldermore Bank Payments in

Aldermore Bank state on their savings accounts that payments can take two days to show on your account. Anyone with a saving account with them have you found this to be the case or is it normally a lot quicker than this. I don’t fancy waiting two days to see my money hit my account. Also payments out are they also as slow as this. Thanks

These smaller banks use a bigger bank for their bank account . So you pay into that ( Barclays I think ) and then the payment is picked up and transferred to your savings account at Aldermore. 
If you read some of the threads about other smaller savings institutions , sometimes money disappears for many days , but from my experience Aldermore are pretty consistent .
The short delay is the price you pay for getting a better interest rate than with a bigger bank.
