Estimated annual usage: 3316.00 kWh. 12 months fix 33.326 per kWh and 58.475 per day standing charge.
If I stay on the Welcome package it would be 28.408p per kw and 51.626 standing charge.
    Current variable rate: £1130/yr, £94/month.
Fixed rate: £1319/yr, £110/month. The fixed rate is 16.7% more expensive for you.
If you use twice as much energy from Oct-Mar as you do from Apr-Sep, the fix will be cheaper if Oct sees a 25% or more increase in electricity prices (since you're a single-fuel customer).
Edit: it would break even at a bit less than 25%, since you've already had 5 weeks on the April cap. Call it 23.5%.

The last prediction from Cornwall Insight (who MSE go by) that I saw a few weeks ago was predicting a ~20% rise for electricity SVT in October (& ~32% for gas).
Unless you have an infallible crystal ball it's all taking a gamble.
