bouicca21 said:My ex was a keen gardener. When we sold our first house we had to specify that we would be taking some of the plants with us. And ‘with us’ meant exactly that - they were potted up well in advance and went on the van with everything else.0

Do keep us updated You are in the right and my heart goes out to you So strange, I have often dreamed about letting myself into old house and new owners discovering me But thats in my dreams.21k savings no debt0

I would put some cameras up covering the garden - with them having access to next door, you might find that the plants get dug up while you're out.
Also, things could get worse if the sister is a similar character to the family members you've met.11 -
I’m putting up our cctv cameras tomorrow. We put them up in our rental after a spate of break ins in the area, pretty glad now that we have them and it’s not yet another thing we have to fork out for!25

Wow @JuanBallOfWimbledon this just seems completely crazy! One thing them having strange ideas of what's acceptable but it seems to be the whole family. Truly bizarre. Unless the family members are scared of telling them no!
You've done the right thing as hard as it might be (I know you wanted to be as amicable and helpful as you could). Wait for further advice from the solicitor and then hopefully it all just passes and calms down.0 -

You should get in touch with ITV or Channel 4 - they can make a drama around it
Glad they've had the stuff collected - so now there shouldn't be an excuse to have to come back again... And you can focus on settling in and enjoying the future. (And hopefully they will too).

Makes you wonder how convenient it is the sister being away
Did she know this was coming and choose to disassociate as let's face it, it's nothing to do with her but has already damaged neighbourly relations
Or
Complete coincidence.
I really hope for you guys that when she returns she is fine. I wouldn't talk about what's happened unless she comes home l guns blazing.3 -
Good idea that you have the cameras. There's nothing to stop the relatives going into the sisters and going over the fence into yours.
Hopefully the sister is ok and perhaps she thinks your sellers are oddballs as well.
I agree with what HampshreH said above and just carry on as normal and don't mention anything about what's happened when the sister gets back.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.671
