It is usually a good thing to take personal responsibility. For example, ensuring that all parties are informed of a change of address.

It is just that for CRAs it is absolutely correct to let them sort it out, because they are the only people that can do it

This is where setting up mail redirection is very useful, as the old address can be used for new applications until the new address is known to the CRAs.

Why would you do that? Every application I've done for years asks for your current address and previous addresses if you have lived at your current address for less than 7 years.

If you use your old address then the CRA's will not be notified of your new address which generally comes through as far as I know via the application data that they receive on applications etc.

Most (all?) credit applications ask whether you have lived at a different address in the last several years, and if so, what it was. So there's no real reason for not always using your most current address on new applications. Nonetheless, mail redirection is still a sensible thing to do.

On CreditKatma go to profile, edit address.

ClearScore only gives the options for addresses that have been reported to them.

Credit Karma is the same as ClearScore.

When I go to their profile page, it only gives options for addresses that have been reported to them.
