Have you updated all of your credit providers (current accounts, credit cards, loans, etc) and registered on the electoral roll at your new address?

You go into account settings fir credit karma, clear score etc and enter your new details.

The CRAs themselves will use the address provided by your credit accounts. Assuming you've changed the address with your credit providers

I do not think you can change your address on the CRAs.

They get your address from organisations with which you have financial products and the electoral register.

All I get on all three, Clearscore, Credit Karma and Experian is an option to choose from addresses where I have lived.

There is no option to enter a new address.

    Experianhttps://www.experian.com/blogs/ask-experian/changing-your-address-on-your-credit-report/

Credit Karma say: you can easily update your address on Credit Karma by logging into your account here, or on your app under ‘Profile’.

And here is what Clearscore say you should do: https://help.clearscore.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005329489-How-can-I-change-my-current-address-

I have never had reason to change my address, so don't know whether their websites give the right information.

These are good links, but equally logging into your profile page on each of the CRAs will get you there.

None of these links or your profile page say you can enter your new address.

They all rely on financial institutions and / or the electoral register reporting your new address, and then you can choose it from a list of all of your addresses (old and current, although including your old address here is illogical)

An updated address will be needed by a CRA if they are performing soft searches to offer you credit cards and loans, as some do. It doesn't change anything on your credit file.

There is still no way of manually entering a new address.

That is correct, you cannot and should not enter an address that isn't associated with you. A search made using unverifiable personal information would fail. You should only update when at least one organisation has started reporting your new address.

Three months seems like a long time to wait.

Does your new address appear anywhere on any of your credit reports?

I assume that your profile page is still showing your old address.

I don't think it's overly important. In fact I know some people who have absolutely no idea what a credit report is, nor that they have one. So if/when they move home, they never even think about changing the address for a credit report agency. I've tried explaining but it's so hard! 'No', they say, 'no, love, we won't have one of those. We don't have a big enough income . . . . '

The CRAs will be advised of changes of address in due course, as others have said. Mostly via the electoral roll. It's not imperative that they know where you live, they still have access to your credit reports.

It's been quite a while since I last moved but it never even entered my head to notify any of the CRAs. They each still have a file on me and know where I live.
