comeandgo said:I do t see it being credited to your account, that £504 should have three payments of £116 reducing it to £156. Are you sure the direct debits have been taken as green energy went bust so they would not still be taking direct debits. It was Green who went bust, rather than Green Energy UK, so the OP's supplier is still trading. As above though, the statement doesn't show any monthly direct debit payments, only the 3 month cost of usage plus a debt collectors visit, which was presumably a result of not being able to pay earlier bills and seeking a payment plan?OP, contact GEUK and ask what your current status is. Can you see a balance online? It shouldn't be £504 if the monthly payments have been taken and accounted for.

If you have an agreement in place and are not missing any payments how do they justify the fees for a debt collector? Have you been charged this for other bills also?emma1808 said:my boiler was leaking a while back and my bill went so high im paying off my arrears through step change but since we had the agreement to pay my arrears ive not missed a monthly payment
Is the money for paying of the arrears something you are paying on top of the 116£ direct debit?
Can you please check your account if there is a page showing you current status, how much you are in debt?0 -
The OP is with Green Energy (UK) Ltd.
GEUK are still going. They haven't gone bust and been SoLR'd to Shell, that was Green Supplier Limited ('Green.')0 -
emma1808 said:its the first ive heard that green energy has gone bust it was GEUK that sent my bill ive never had a bill from shell, ive looked into switching supplier but only one came up and they want £300, upfrontYou could switch to EDF or Octopus if their Standard Variable Tariffs work out cheaper for your annual consumption, but only if you phone them.By switching, you might even qualify for Warm Home Discount later in the year: GEUK doesn't back the Warm Home Discount. However, GEUK may block the switch if you owe them a significant amount. Even so, it might be worth trying to switch if doing the sums suggests it makes sense, you're no worse off if it is blocked, and you might even get £150 WHD.0

There's a number and an email address at the top of the bill you have posted. Have you contacted them?

It might also be worth approaching an Energy Fund/Trust to help you clear your feet. Some of them don't need you to be a customer:

emma1808 said:its the first ive heard that green energy has gone bust it was GEUK that sent my bill ...You might not realise this but Green Energy UK are one of the three "deep green" energy suppliers. They supply reneweable energy and as a result Ofgem has exempted them from the tariff cap. Most GEUK customers are relatively well-off so when you write:
... I get the impression that GEUK might not be a good choice of energy supplier for you.emma1808 said:im a single parent with 2 children one with SEN and disabilities i am struggling as it is ///Your current variable tariff of 36.24p/kWh day and 22.76p/kWh night, both plus VAT, are considerably higher than most other supplier's capped rates, eg. EDF's standard variable rate.Changing supplier could save you some money on your bill, although £504 for a winter quarter in an all-electric property isn't exceptional at the moment.I see there is also a £40 charge for a debt collection agent's visit, which makes the bill worse.
I suspect thay are shown on one of the other pages of that website. The screenshot is not of a complete bill. I'm not familiar with GEUK's account pages so I can't give any specific pointers.Benny2020 said:Still haven't figured out where the credits have gone?
