So I'll just wish you all a happy day x11 -
Morning all, pretty wet here, but I suppose it's needed.Yesterday I had a hectic day here, morning filled with admin for DH, then had to get ready for lunch with a friend who is struggling a bit atm, very fed up with poor mobility. I think it did her good. Straight after that we had to dash to watch DGS take part in a football tournament with 7 of his classmates. It was at a big school with lots of pitches so there were loads of kids. He had to play against a couple of boys from his own Saturday team who are at different schools. We saw some people we'd not seen for years so enjoyed it. DGD is doing the same thing tomorrow.Consequently a late tea for us, salad with the leftover chicken shawarma, nice and quick and still tasty cold.I have a new suitcase arriving this morning, DH refused to travel with the ones in the loft
- so I suppose they could be got rid of now.I hope all those who are unwell are feeling better than they did. Nelski I'm sure your DM will like having some of her familiar items with her.I need to check my Mr T order, did it late last night when I realised that if I didn't book a slot I wouldn't get one for my preferred day tomorrow, and it seemed to be very slow. Right I shall go and catch up on yesterdays thread, have a good day xPS Corrieflash JackieO was on her Reasons to be cheerful thread yesterday afternoon with her new name London_1 x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all this morning was supposed to be a lay in but DH called me to tell me the roads were bad if i was taking DS to work I wasn't i did tell him last night he is getting his bike repaired he has a puncture anyway i then couldn't get myself motivated so had a bit of a read . Dog has been walked and fed i am going to have a quick hoover round as the blind man is coming to measure up .
Yesterday was a catch up day the weekend went well for the hen but i won't be doing that again in a hurry I am very angry at one particular person but i will see the wedding out and then cut ties i feel like i had the mickey taken out of me a bit i drove they can't and then parked unfortunatly it had to be NCP as it was overnight i also paid tolls one of the people in the car offered to chip in i refused so he sent it to DD2 as i refused to give him my bank details and she transferred it but the one in question didn't even offer to get me a coffee when we stopped and spent the whole weekend moaning about the prices or how ill they were and no-one understood it was very draining I also found out she had a dig at DD2 so i will let it ride and then thats it .I don't mind helping anyone out but i won't have the michael taken out of my family.
Right thats enough on that subject i also managed to get a nail in my tyre but thankfully it was repaired only £20 instead of a new tyre I also needed to check my parents grave as on FB it was reported that the war memorial had been trashed and damaged and then whoever it was had carried on into the church yard and vandalised that, thankfully ours were ok but i have no words for whoever it was well i do but they are unprintable .
Right better get on with the washing and hoovering might pop to the shops today but not really feeling it at the moment
Nels sometimes its the small things that invoke the best memories take it slowly hope mum is doing well
Hugs to all our poorlies and those looking after poorlies . Have a good day stay safe and dry xx

Morning all. Didn't get on yesterday, OH took command of the computer and by the time I got it back,I was in the gardening zone and busy out there. After that, it just felt like it was too late to post. Plus I was pooped and fell asleep. I've just been online shopping for a pair of fitflops. I normally wear in the not-winter a slip on pair of clog things, I've had them years, the stitching is coming undone, bits are flaking off [ if I wear them somewhere out out I give them a wash, cut off any obvious bits falling off and black polish them ] but they're so comfortable, so I thought, get some new ones. So I looked online, found the cheapest pair I could, then went through topcashback, then searched for a discount code, so in the end, what was originally 85 turned into 61 with 5% cashback. Mse'd up for today. The discount is probably going to be spent on compost
It's normal/recycle bin day today so I must remember the put the green bin out for tomorrow when the others have been collected. I forgot two weeks ago. snoozer, glad you're not too bad with it. Nelski, wish I could get hold of some beef cheeks, I just don't see them and I forget when going to the butchers. That's really sweet about the ducks, and good luck with the house. I exhort you to not do too much, everything that's happening now is one of those slog exhausting things. I'm so pleased she's doing well in the new place though. Ruby, fingers crossed for your potential clients. Izzy, I remember going out to nightclubs, coming home at 2am and then getting up at 6am for a 12 hour shift...Them days are long gone now...
I also remember as a child being horrifed my cousin was given clothes for Christmas [ sorry for the C word!] and being absolutely sure I would never want anything but toys and games...Sunflower, enjoy cat therapy
Bella, there's always one...And good news re the tyre! Take care of yourselves all...Hugs and stuff if you want/need

Hello all, I'm still a bit up and down with my energy but I'm just going to have to go with it. I think I need putting in a sack and given a good shaking......... or shooting 😁The wm is on now and another load is waiting it's turn as nothing much has been done the last week or so, even being a sloth was too much effort at times.
This morning Mr fix It had an early oncology injection so we went on to the garden centre and had breakfast, yummy. There's now a new farm shop in there so I came out with jacket spuds, home cooked ham, large yorkshires and a custard ice slice which will do for the both of us as it's so big. I also bought 2 dianthus, love the scent of those and I'm sure I can shoehorn them in somewhere and a replacement rosemary plant which gave up the ghost this winter. Called in the meat van on the way home and bought more black pudding as the DGC are coming for a sleepover on Friday and DGS has asked for a full english breakfast 😄
I'm fighting with technology too as my laptop keeps turning itself off without notice, himself thinks the battery is shot so will try to order another, otherwise it may be a new laptop 😟
Hugs to the poorly ones, the Mums and those with work difficulties.
Nels HRT was the best thing I did, although I had to start in my early 40's. Hope you get on with it ok.
Take care all

All the talk of beef cheeks has taken me back 10 years. We had gone to Italy for our Ruby Wedding and had booked a wonderful, but pricey little restaurant for a meal on the actual day. We both chose the beef cheeks which were served with polenta. Not eaten anything so delicious either before or since. I can almost remember the taste even now. I have never seen them here and wrongly assumed they were a regional speciality. Xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8

Coffee is at the ready now so I'll report in for duty. Our weather today is a mix of sunshine and showers, one minute dark grey clouds followed by rain (not heavy) and the next sunny with strips of blue sky. Bit of a breeze but feeling milder.
Nothing much on the agenda today apart from the usual daily tasks and tbh I can't really be bothered with anything above and beyond that. Plenty to do but it can wait. I need some motivational sunshine!
I did manage to amble to the post box this morning to send off our postal ballot papers even though we haven't had anyone canvassing at the door and only one party leaflet through the letterbox. I'm not sure if that's because the candidates don't want the earache they're sure to get from people or whether it's a safe seat they don't need to worry about.
Tea tonight is a chicken stir fry in a sweet chilli & garlic sauce with noodles. What was left of the weekend's gammon joint has been sliced and frozen, enough for another two meals. Good value - 4 meals for 2 and the inevitable vat of pea & ham soup.
There doesn't seem to be anything riveting on TV tonight so I think I'll have a soak in the bath, a diy pedicure and an early night. Apologies to those who struggle with sleep, I think I could sleep for England!I’m pleased to hear you got your HRT script yesterday, Nels, and hope it won’t be too stressful sourcing them. Good luck with clearing mum’s house - as I well know, it’s a mammoth task and can take its toll.
Ruby, roll on when you can start your new job. I hope today wasn’t too stressful for you.
Lowest of the low, bella, to vandalise memorials.
Hugs nanny, you sound as if you’re really struggling. Give yourself a bit of TLC now and again, you’re worth it (as they say).
Hugs etc to those needing/wanting one. Take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11
