There are a few on social media too, Crazy Ken's Tech Adventure did a busting on youtube that was claiming to remap the engine for about $30, plugged into the car data point thing. It didn't even have pins wired up, all it did was tap a power source and have a light that came on. Think Big Clive did one too that was a bit more elaborate1

I always wanted some of that Magic Liquid that you put a worn out hacksaw blade (one with no visible teeth in the middle) into and within seconds it had a brand new set of teeth, fully sharpened and correctly offset. How I wish I'd sent off a cheque when it was all over satellite TV.....
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science

"Think Big Clive did one too that was a bit more elaborate"Yes, he did and all it did was power an l.e.d. to give the impression it was doing something. Don't they just have a couple of pins, e.g. power and earth for the l.e.d.?I fitted one of the magnets to a fuel line and it most definitely changed the molecular make up of the petrol which gave amazing results. No I didn't.For what those tablets will not achieve, just chuck an Alka Seltzer(sp?) in the tank at the next top up.1

Alka Seltzer produces carbon dioxide.... Only silly people use that.. You need one of the many cleaning agents that
releases oxygen...
Additional oxygen to your fuel makes you more appealing and saves you at the petrol station also. Shhh don't tell anyone
though the fuel companies have already banned it and done horrible things to people that share the information.

One of the ones that Big Clive opened was far more sophisticated than that. It had a little microchip that monitored the data on the CAN bus and flashed the LEDs in time with that.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
30 plus years ago I spent an all-expenses paid weekend in Telford evaluating claims a Diesel fuel additive that a Public Company I worked for was considering investing in - I kid you not. My report at the time was that it was a con trick and the company decided not to invest.
I gave a big sigh as if they had gone ahead they would have put me in charge - a promotion I definitely did not want.

"If you really think I was being serious then a sense of humour transplant is recommended!I'd recommend fully the use of an inline magnet too.0 -
If you think that adding Oxy cleaning products to supercharge your fuel with added oxygen is really an option. I think you need
to re-read my comment and think is that really better than adding Alka Seltzer.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Yeah the one Ectophile mentioned was a bit more elaborate. The one Krazy Ken reviewed, the little green one had 16 pins but only the power and earth were connected (so 3 pins total), the rest weren't even soldered.oldagetraveller1 said:watch"Think Big Clive did one too that was a bit more elaborate"Yes, he did and all it did was power an l.e.d. to give the impression it was doing something. Big Clive's review is more comprehensive0 -
I remember 20 or so years ago the CSMA motoring mag were always promoting the ‘Broquet fuel catalyst’, some pellets in a mesh that you dropped in the fuel tank of a car that only run on leaded petrol and it allows you to run unleaded. I actually bought it since there were so many testimonials, but I now realise that most people used it on older cars that were probably scrapped before valve issues arose from the lack of lead. Always wondered if someone was on the take at the CSMA mag since they promoted it so extensively.0
