Illogical EasyJet flight delay compensation refusal, Next steps?

Options
My wife booked 2 flights for us with EasyJet, both flights were delayed in the recent Easter chaos, she has applied to EasyJet for compensation for both of us.

compensation for both of us has been agreed on one flight.

on the second flight, her compensation has been agreed, but mine has been refused,

what are the next steps to escalate the claim?

Now that your claim has been approved we will process a payment of GBP 220.00(Catherine McConochie) to your bank account. Please allow up to 7 days for payment to arrive in your account as banks processing times can vary.

We’ve taken a look at your(Charles Newall claim request but have unfortunately been unable to process it as you don’t meet the criteria required under the regulation.

    To qualify for consideration:
    • The person who made the booking is able to make a claim for themselves and claim for all other passengers on their booking
    • A passenger is entitled to make a singular claim for themselves only, but no other passengers (even if they didn’t make the booking)
    • Where a booking has been made with a Travel Agent, we will allow the Travel Agency to claim on behalf of the customer
    • We cannot accept claims from a third party

looks like someone was confused...rather than going down a whole escalation route would probably be simpler just to submit a claim for yourself

I think that you can see a lack of logic in the response as we surely fit under the first criteria above.

what are our next steps, EasyJet does not provide any link to an appeal process

I understand that however I imagine it would be simpler and quicker to just submit a claim for yourself than going round a process to get them to realise their error and backtrack
