Ryanair delay - refund?

I flew from Berlin to Manchester today, and after a long wait for gate info (everyone knew something was up as it was promised to be available after the flight was due to leave) we went to the gate to be told there’s a 2 hour delay.

Whilst waiting, we got given €4 vouchers and the check in staff said we needed to go on the Ryanair website about a refund. I was a bit surprised, obviously the EU regs say delays of over 3 hours are entitled to compensation but is there an entitlement to refunds for delays?

refund for refreshments would be applicable if you had not been given vouchers or refund for flight would apply if did not travel (use the ticket) and Ryanair agreed to it. Sounds like there was a bit of confusion by their handling agents

Thanks. An email from them was confusing too as they emailed us an hour after the original departure time to say we could re-book as it was more than a 2 hour delay, even though the flight was leaving soon.

    I appreciate the reply. Ta
