Easyjet require FFP2 masks to fly to Italy

Options
I fly 0620 Tuesday and just had a text from Easyjet saying I need a FFP2 mask to fly and that surgical or cloth masks are not acceptable. V poor giving short notice on a bank holiday weekend. Been to Tesco pharmacy and coop and neither have them, Tesco even said they had no idea where I'd get one, probably have to spend a couple of hours travelling into city centre to find somewhere that has one (and I bet you can't just buy one)., Boots are £9.99 for 5 and my travel costs would be over £17 to get there, if I'd known weeks ago I could have ordered online but now too late

Duplicate thread - answers on the other one.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Ppl flying easyjet wouldn't necessarily look at the covid part of the forum, it was to alert ppl rather than elicit answers. I also wondered if ppl knew if other airlines had the same rule.

It's not an Easyjet requiement - it's one laid down by the Italian Government, so all airlines should be following the same rule.  See  Coronavirus - Italy travel advice - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

From 1 May until at least 15 June the use of FFP2 masks are compulsory in the following cases:

    • When entering Italy by plane, ferry, train or coach
    • On public transport within the country, including commercial flights, boats, ferries, interregional trains, buses, subways, cars and taxis with a driver
    • At indoor public venues such as theatres, concert halls, cinemas, live music clubs and indoor sporting events
    • When visiting healthcare facilities.
