Getting debt water bills for someone not at my address.

I live in a block of flats. I own my flat and have done for 12 years, and I always lived here.
I’ve been getting endless mail for someone I don’t know to my address - my flat number. It’s all from Thames Water. I have been returning “not known at this address”. I finally opened one today and they are clearly almost at CCJ stage.
Any idea what to do in terms of getting the person Unassociated with my address ? I don’t want issues on my credit record because of them. I use my address for my business so it matters.
I’ve tried asking if anyone knows them, no luck.
Thanks

This stranger closed my account it seems. Can someone do that. Just call up say they live there and get the previous account closed? Even when they don’t live there. What a mess. How can Thames water be so incompetent?Saving for Christmas 2023 - £1 a day: #16. £90/£365

It's unlikely to be TW's fault; most likely someone moved into one of the other flats and gave them your flat number by mistake. If you tell TW that you still live there, they should be able to undo the change.Have you still been receiving TW bills in your name? If you pay by DD, have TW still been taking them O(and if not, when dod they take the last one)?

How can Thames water be so incompetent? There are probably hundreds of thousands of people who close their accounts each year because they are moving. What proof would you suggest they need to give the water company that they are Mr Hancock of No 23 Railway Cuttings East Cheam? As said above it is probably just a clerical error and once inputted to the all knowing computer it will keep spewing out rubbish until there is human intervention.I0
