  • I only drive about 100mi max per week. 16 weeks delivery time
A £60k+ car to do 100 miles per week?

And the best part of £30k gone over 4 years with nothing to show for it?

£50 per hour you are driving it.

Massive car for a dog and a 2 year old?

Yes, that's right. I likes the XC60 and the Evoque but they do need up costing the same, so I might well have the seven seater for when we need it. EOW

I'm going for an Audi Q7. I'm getting some money that will cover the car, and thus why I'm going for it. It won't affect our finances in that sense
By coincidence, that was one of the cars that I received a marketing communications for regarding "stock" cars (as mentioned up thread) so you may be able to negotiate a bit harder than for most vehicles in the current climate.

Best deal is likely to be if there are "incentives" for taking PCP and then pay-down the balance as early as you can (I think you said you have some inheritance).

PCP is always more flexible than lease in that you can end a PCP at any time very easily.

For info - the "deal" I was sent marketing for on a "stock" car was Audi Q7 50 TDI Quattro Black Edition 5 door Tiptronic (Comfort & Sound) at "just" £62,115 which is allegedly a saving of 15% £10,740.  I have no idea whether that is a good deal or not, but sharing so you have a comparison - I suspect your choice from the model range would be something different - diesel is probably not the best for such a low mileage.

Presumably, given your very low mileage, you will buy the car and then keep for a very long time.  Otherwise, the depreciation cost per mile will be just crazy.

Then again, we seem to be in a crazy world when a car can be advertised as "just" £62k!
