O2 4gb sim only £6 tariff ...is it any good in todays market?
Options
I just found out o2 has a 4gb sim only, £6 a month tariff I think its a 1000 mins unlimited texts etc
At pres Im paying about double that with o2 for 2gb 1000min etc (i dont need much) but mine comes with free picture messaging and certain countrys international, call bolt on..... both of these bolt on,s I had completely forgotten about so wasnt using them .
Has anyone else looked at this on cost at £6 and is it good value in the market ?
I have always found o2 ok for my use so never tryed the other cheaper tariffs with the secondary carriers or brands that piggy back on the big four .

Have a look at MSE's SIM-only comparison tool, give you an idea of what's in the market at the moment.

I looked at plusnet after the post above as I already have plusnet broadband .
They seem to have alot of issues at present I guess you have to try it to find out if it suits
My point was o2 is one of the four main carriers yet its now offering a low cost £6 a month tariff.0 -
Asda (Vodafone network) has 3GB for a £5
unlimited minutes0 -
Good value - I got the offer late March when it was £6 for 5GB. Service is good. 1 month free Disney plus and O2 priority offers.I have Virgin media so used volt for double data and free travel zone (inc USA)
So getting 10GB and international roaming for £6 a month - don’t think there’s a better deal than that out there at the moment!0 -
I am on the same. If you are happy with 02, then you cant really go wrong. A check on some of the comparison sites will put your mind at ease if you have any concerns. In some cases it also appears to undercut the bigger back brands.
Its actually unlimited mins/texts (that may work in your favour if your current tariff only offers 1000 minutes and you like to chat).

I missed the march offer but am likely to take this one as im already with o2 and plusnet ....who seem to have issues .
What I would like is international calls which I very rarely make .
I dont know what the international bolt on is called but I seem to have it or some version of it and free picture messaging so if I take the o2 £6 offer of 4gb I will lose those free bolt ons but save a fiver a month .
So the bolt ons are not worth the extra £60 plus a year Im paying for my current 2gb0 -
If your usage has changed and you use data more than international calls, then sounds like you cant go wrong. When I moved to that offer it was all done online, even kept my old SIM. Just a change of tariff. End of the day its a 12month contract, if things change in the following 12 months switch and ditch.0
