Shell broadband keeps cancelling my switch from Sky

That's my understanding too. I've diarised to take care of that by the end of this month.

One other thing I forgot to mention is that before trying Shell I tried to move to NOW broadband and they told me they're not allowed to port numbers from Sky customers because NOW is owned by Sky! Once again that seems to me to break Ofcom regulations about porting so I'll be investigating that too.

Hmmm, didn't have any issues porting my landline number from Sky to Now - did the website tell you this or was it someone in the call centre?

Slightly pedantic , but moving a phone number from Sky to Now or Now to Sky doesn’t need ‘porting’ ,  number portability is when the number is transferred between different network  providers , as Sky and Now are on the same ( Sky ) network , there is no porting done , so it’s not a case of it not being allowed but a case of it’s just not necessary….call centre reps can be pretty clueless and will offer all kinds of B.S

This is happening to me at this very moment. It’s been cancelled twice now and both sides Shell and Sky are saying it’s not them! It’s stressing me out big time. Sky are twice the price and refuse to budge.
