Pre-existing conditions have to be declared - but may be acceptable as a risk and covered by doing so - it all depends on the nature and severity of the condition.
We have a couple or so pre-existing conditions with our Co-op account - no additional premium required.

I wonder what is the benefit of having Coop Package Account and paying £15 a month just to get Travel Insurance. There are a lot of annual Multi Trip Travel insurance  available for les than £100.
I couldn't get any annual worldwide multi trip policy for less than £180 with the same benefits for my age (73), with my preexisting conditions and with  no excess to pay - and can have it until I'm 80.
Are you not required to declare pre-existing conditions and be asked for an additional premium?

Yes you have to declare preexisting conditions, but whether there's an additional premium or not depends on the conditions and the insurer

I nearly forgot you should each have a personal medical reference number - that'll be from AXA methinks.
Ours start CPRACC, followed by 6 digits.
I think you only Get this if you are declaring medical conditions. We have this account and my OH has had a number like this for years as he has medical declaration. I have just got a reference having declared a minor eye problem which is the first thing I have had to declare never had a reference before

Yes and no.  Declaring is required for mine but it costs nothing extra.  The only thing I had to do was add my OH to the account so that he could get the car breakdown cover without me being present.  Bit of a faff but worth it for the money it saves us.

    Thanks for that.
I assumed it was simply a personal number for their admin records.

This may be of interest in the general context of this discusion ?
We have Marks & Spencer Club Rewards ('er indoors likes the "free" drinks vouchers) - £10 per month membership.
They had add on travel insurance to age 80 for an extra £15 per month - because we had the Club Rewards anyway I looked at this as an alternative to the Co-op Everyday Extra deal.
I've just clocked that they now offer the Club Rewards with the travel cover as a package deal for £22.50.
Possibly to attract customers in the older age cohort to switch from the Co-op ?
Obviously only worth considering if you would also like the benefits of the Club Rewards.

Not accepting new members for that but worth knowing about as I'd never heard of their club rewards

    M & S not accepting new members ?
Club Rewards - or Club Rewards with insurance ?
The former is a good deal at £10 monthly - as 'er indoors keeps reminding me !!!

I wondered if it were available for existing Club Rewards card holders as an upgrade - apparently not.
