Need advice on a Tree

    True, but if you start work and then find a bird's nest you have to stop... which can be a PITB.

    Or you have a contractor who starts working, but then has to stop.... which can be an expensive PITB.

    A decent competent tree firm won't agree to start work this time of year if there is a reasonable chance of nesting birds being present.

    So all round it is better to wait until after nesting season to dismantle a large or dense tree.

    Missed trimming our standard hollies earlier this year.  Can't do it now as there are nests in there.  The comings-and-goings in the holly nearest the conservatory are keeping our house cat well entertained - wow, can she swear!
