Hotel not as advertised

We are due to go on holiday next month with a well known company, i have been looking at it online and have just realised that the pictures of the pool and some inside the hotel and also the trip advisor links that you can click on on their website are of a different hotel.
I have called them and they have advised someone will get in touch with me, but what are my rights
do i just have to take the hotel i booked even though i sent the family the pictures of the pool and rooms that are not this hotel
sorry if i am not making sense

It will depend on how closely the hotel matches the description. If it offer the same facilities, there should be no problem. If you were lad to believe it was an exclusive 10 room hotel with spa and sauna and it's a 1000 room tower block with no pool, then you would likely have a case to cancel.

It might help if you name the well known company and indeed the hotel so forum users can look and offer a better opinion.

Sometimes there are explanations - hotels may have different annexes to different standards, or may have refurbished certain areas but not others etc.  Some operators may have use of the better rooms while others may not.  Another thought sometimes there can be two sister hotels on one site with different facilities.

If you've booked a hotel based on photos and it turns out its clearly not your hotel then you may have a case, or as zx81 says if the facilities are very different.

There are three blocks in that large complex on the cliff peninsula.  You have booked the 3* AluaSun Cala Antena and the Alua Calas de Mallorca is a 4* and adjacent.  You may have lucked out if you booked the (cheaper) 3* Cala Antena and yet can use the facilities of the sister 4* property next door.

I haven't been around that area for years. I remember the AluaSun Calas de Mallorca as the Sol Chihuahuas and the Sol Mastines was the other side of that pool area.  For a while it was also called the Sol Mirador de Calas de Mallorca.  Where you are staying at the AluaSun Cala Antena was closed when I last visited.

I would agree that EasyJet Holidays should perhaps better label their images but I don't see this as necessarily mis sold unless you are not able to use the pools and facilities of the Alua Calas de Mallorca.

It seems you have the hotel you booked - but can use the facilities of the sister hotel.

I've just looked at the Easyjet description for the Cala Antena where it describes the pools as one rectangular and a smaller circular one for children.  That does not match the photos they have immediately above the descriptions.  I wouldn't be happy either if I got there and discovered this wasn't the hotel I was staying at.  Not a problem if the pools shown are adjacent and there is no additional charge.

Its not 100% clear where the issue has occurred... you mention the errors being on Tripadvisor which is clearly no under EasyJet Holiday's control. Have they linked to the wrong property? Are photos on their own site all correct?

But all the photos, descriptions etc on the EasyJet site itself were all correct and its only going to the third party site where the issues were?
