NoMore said:Isn't a covid recovery certificate just used if your vaccinations are not up to date, as having covid is basically the same as getting vaccinated against it ? So unless your not vaccinated or don't have your full vaccination required by the country you don't need a covid recovery certificate.
I.e Its not required just because you have had covid. Its only required if you haven't had a full course of vaccination.
Of course the OP doesn't state their vaccination status so may well be aware of this.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. “I have been trying to find out the same. I rang the 119 Helpline yesterday and they said as my test was done on a LFT it cannot be used to obtian an overseas recovery passport. It need to be a PCR test. I wish I had known that at the time as I would of got a PCR test. For future reference - where can you get a Private PCR test, how do you know if you are not be ripped off.“
This isn’t true. Some private providers will give a certificate based on an LFT, though it may well say it’s based on LFT which some countries won’t accept.
I posted earlier about getting hold of an NHS PCR, there may be some floating around still.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Plenty of private PCR testers around eg Randox, express test etc
Plus a lot of companies in the business of issuing recovery certificates - just go with the cheapest, their only remit is to meet the requirements of overseas countries, so they will all do it.I would reckon on £40- 60 for a PCR Cheapest I've seen recovery certificates is £29.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. No point in paying for a PCR for recovery passport then is there really? May as well just take a cheaper LF test if needed instead. (If unvaccinated).0
