Change Flight with Jet2, at checkout price jumps up.

I've stuck with Jet2 through the pandemic, spent £1300 on 3 flights, and moved year after year. This year trying to move them to 2023, happy to pay the £35. change flight fee, regardless of the date, destination, etc I swap them too, when I get to the checkout to pay the £35 price jumps up over £150+ and message to say "the flight is so popular, and sold out at this price".... now I know Jet2 won't refund and they know if I cancel that's bye-bye to my £1300.
However, if I was a NEW booking on the same dates the 3 flights are £800. so the flight hasn't sold out, its not school holidays so doubt its popular, and I've tried different destinations and random dates winter included, and the same message so it now looks like a big con that they are forcing me to pay even more for a flight that isn't costing anywhere near that price.
Any advice as Jet2 customer services are computer says NO, but can't actually explain why the price is more - I'm so frustrated and in hindsight should of taken the voucher /refund. Loyalty throughout pandemic counts for nothing, I'm over the barrell to pay more.

Same has happened to me today with Jet2. I tried changing my dates, and the new dates were more expensive than if I booked the same flights from scratch. Apart from the £35 flight change fee the difference in fare between my old and new flights should have been £1. So a total of £36 to pay. Instead I was being charged £60.50. I took screen recordings of the attempted date change, where it told me it would cost more because the flights I had chosen were sold out at the lower fare. Then AFTER that I was able to book the same flights at the lower fare from scratch, getting as far as the payment stage and no further price hike. A clear case of underhand and dishonest pricing tactics. I’m going to report to Trading Standards.0
