Switching from SSE

Hi
I've been with SSE for a few years, no complaints, paying £23 a month with average speeds of 11mbps, and pay as you go.
However, the contract has ended Andi go to a rolling contract of £33 so time to go one of their others of 11,35,63 speeds at £28, 23 and 26 respectively for 18 months
Tbh I've never been bothered or interested in much in switching. The speed has been sufficient for me, I don't have a landline phone and not glued to the Tele playing games, watching Netflix all day or whatever people do. I don't have sky etc.
However, I feel I can get a better deal. The ones noted here seem to have a similar monthly price but gift cards and places I would be forced to use vouchers at.
Is there anything else?
Obviously I'd like to get the fastest speed for my money and low/no installation charge and the ability to transport the contract when I move in under 12 months.
I'm in an apartment if that helps, there is a phoneline port thing here where my router is.
Any options or advice welcome, else I'll just go with their £23 pcm 35 Mbps package.
Thanks y'all

I see a deal with Shell for 11Mbps at £18 a month (£5 less than the £23 deal from SSE) plus the promise of a £50 bill credit after 90 days. No need to claim gift cards or vouchers with that one.Or there's a similar Shell deal for 35Mbps at £22 a month with a £65 bill credit.Either of those deals will be cheaper and no need to go shopping with unwanted tokens.Shell will send you a new router that plugs in where the SSE one currently is. Keep the box as you might be asked to return it to Shell if/when you switch again.N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.

Shell as in the oil companyYes; you're currently with SSE the electricity companyWhat are they like in terms of speed and reliability and customer satisfaction?
You get exactly the same speed and reliability as you do with SSE, Sky, Vodafone, TalkTalk or any of the other suppliers who use phone lines to deliver their broadband. You'll find people on this forum who have had problems with pretty much every one of the mass-market broadband companies. Thaat's due to them having lots of customers so inevitably, the odd one will be less than happy.Personally, I was with Shell until September last year and I had no problems with them. I switched to Vodafone (who I've also had no problems with) as Voda had a better deal at the end of my Shell contract. I'd be happy to go back to Shell again once my Voda contract is up, if they make me a decent offer!N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile.
