Thanks and apologies, do you mean they will book both trains one from London then Paris and return inc a hotel etc? If so could I do it cheaper by a lot as I want someone else to book it and will we be covered if the intially train is delayed etc
    Thanks again
CIV covers international connections (up to a point)

Maybe someone can confirm that Eurostar connections are still covered after Brexit?

Thanks. I've been reading and am I correct that it only covers Eurostar and German trains that have the CIV logo o the ticket?
Therefore not covered of going to Spain/Portugal etc.

Thanks again and if you cant answer, not a problem

My knowledge of this has been with UK CIV tickets to guarantee connections to and from St Pancras Eurostar services, but I think it is Europe-wide
What I'm not sure about is how it has been affected (if at all) by Brexit.

Thank you. If we do do the train which atm seems unlikley due to costs, we will research the CIV fully and make a fully informed decisison.

Ooh good luck with your plans! I’ve thought about Barcelona by train before, just not got round to it yet! I’ve done loads of Europe by train, including coming back from Budapest all in one go- it’s a great way to travel.

I did Bilbao by ferry as a student, it was a freebie. Nice place but we booked it wrong and only had4 hrs ashore and got too drunk and seasick to enjoy it 🤢
