  • I do online comps, some text & postcard comps.

I think it varies for me, sometimes i win nothing from online comps & get a few wins from postcards & then i win nothing from postcard comps. I haven't had a win from a postcard comp for ages, they are normally my best source of wins lol.

Tiebreaker comps are good if thats your kinda thing, personally my brain shrivels up & dies as soon as it sees a tiebreaker :rotfl:
Tiebreakers tend to have a lower entry, look for entry forms too in shops like morrisons & Wilkinsons.

  • I've been comping for over five years now and never won anything...starting to think it's a waste of time for people like me, really.

How many competitions are you entering every week?

  • I'm not sure, I've never really kept track tbh, but I suppose if I was on the computer non-stop til my eyes bled and gave out all my details I might win a teeny prize lol...I think I just have really bad luck (well, as far as comps go anyway!) :D Things like Myoffers etc I will enter every single competition on the sites til I have to wait for more, but perhaps I've been doing something wrong if there really are this many genuine winners...I don't think I have the patience though, over five years regularly and not a thing, not worth it for me! :(

I enter comps when i have the time, my first win was a buggy for my son, which came in handy as we planned to buy one that weekend, since then I have won tickets to the Pride of Britain awards ( got to schmooze with the celebs and met Amir Khan) and a pair of tickets for the Ideal Home Show.
What gets me though are people who enter every single comp going whether they have an interest in the product or prize.
I only enter what i think i would want and that i fit the criteria eg by being over 18 etc etc
And yes the lady in the avatar is me

  • I never enter competitions on Myoffers, you rarely hear of winners from there, well at least i haven't heard many winners from there.
Do you just enter online comps? Would you be any good at tiebreakers?
Tiebreaker comps have a lower entry, i don't enter them as my brain doesn't work when it sees a tiebreaker :rotfl:
I enter online, postcard & some text comps.
I can easily do a few hundred a week.
I look at some winners & do think did you really want that prize. Some people will enter for everything they see. Personally i only enter for stuff for my family or things i can give as pressies at birthdays & christmas.

I have been quite lucky this year but there are some people i know who win so often & are far luckier than myself.

For example with the recent fanta competition i entered everyday & won nothing at all :(
However i know of people winning 2 xbox games rooms & 5 nintendo DS .

If you can, make half an hour a day for competitions & do as many as you can in that time. Try daily competitions too. The recent Oli & Thorntons comps have been good fun & i've won in both competitions... the Oli one finished on Friday though but Thorntons finishes today.

Good luck, make some time for competitions & within a few months you'll have a win.

Most will accept your landline number.
If you get any marketing calls mention TPS and they put the phone down very quickly!
I use my comp mobile number so if it rings I know it is a comp win

  • I started in July and you can see my wins in my sig, nothing huge but nice to win. I will be entering as many as I can of any kind so that I can put them on ebay and get rid of my credit card bill! After tht I'll go back to just entering the things I really want...
