Unvented Hot water system / Rayburn / Immersion Heating - issues! Please help 😦

Options
Hello fellow MSE peeps, I need some advice please ref a couple of issues;

Moved into my property last June, it has a Rayburn and with that an unvented hot water system

Rayburn - only used to do heating/hot water has worked fine past 9months. Last week it started tripping out - so no hot water.

Switched to using immersion to heat the water for a couple of days until the chap came to fix said Rayburn. Immersion worked fine in this time.

Chap came serviced and 'fixed' the Rayburn. Re pressured the hot water system and bled one radiator (which incidentally has worked all winter despite showing low pressure?!) All fine.

Until it stopped working again 5 days later....

Switched back to immersion- which is now not heating the water as previously - it's now only lukewarm?!

Phoned the chap, he's coming back out tomorrow

My questions please;

1)    Am I expected to pay for tomorrow visit? He's coming back to check the same problem as before... (It cost a fair wedge for service and repair) How do I negotiate this? Am just crap at things like this 😳

2)    Does the unvented water cylinder need to be serviced? (Google suggests it does - but this is all new to me so I'm very green) And if so - whom can work on it?

3)    Why would the immersion which was working fine - now not be? Am sure it's prob just bad luck - but I'd like to know how to know that - and not linked to the Rayburn issue

The chap was recommended, and in his defence explained more about the system than anyone else that I've had out - but the fact the same issue is back 5 days later makes me anxious.

Any, honestly ANY advice would be very much appreciated please 🙏 Happy to try and answer any further questions - not sure how much is too much information

Thank You very much 🙂

    it could turned off, most have 2 isolators ie in in kitchen and one local to immersion heater

    Maybe you need to ask, if it’s same faulty part then no I would say.
    2-yes a G3 qualified engineer
    it could have 2 isolation switches, ie in the kitchen and one local to the immersion
