    Hi all,

Fault kept occurring, then the EML light came on, stuck an ODB reader on it and appears to be P0340 - Camshaft position sensor.

I'll get the parts and let you know if it solved it, so anyone searching for the same thing can find the answer.
I saw that code there & it rang bells. I'm fairly sure that's the one I got when my wifes car started acting up with the starting: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6004660/trouble-starting-where-to-look/p2 though don't quote me as I said fairly sure, not 100% sure.

Changed spark plugs - no joy
Changed coil pack - no joy.

Was about to get rid of the car then changed CRANKshaft sensor. Link there to the Delphi one I bought.

So £15 fixed what about £70-£80 didn't. Oh well.

Yours is a different engine code to ours (07 plate). Z16XER whereas ours is the Z16XEP. Aside from yours being 115bhp and ours 105bhp, I'm not sure what the actual differences are between the two engines, if any, other than this.

    HI all,

Was the camshaft position sensors, two of them (one for each cam).

Car running fine now, the sensors were filthy, so will engine flush and oil and filter change at the weekend.
Life isn't about the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away. Like choking....
