Just heading off now, I got delayed by standing upstairs watching a beautiful woodpecker on my peanut feeder. A good start to a good day.12

Good morning all.
Another fine cloudless morning here in the Lake District. Still a bit on the chilly side (7C according to my WS), but the forecast for today and the w/e is of sunny intervals and a gentle breeze.
Have got 5 MacBooks and a Chromebook to finish off configuring before despatching later today. All good fun albeit rather mundane. And then later this evening we're off to the local pub to watch a live band and enjoy a couple of drinks with neighbours.
We need to make the most of the pub given that it isn't quite the tourist season just yet. But give it another month and the pub will be overflowing with tourists from far and wide (hopefully)
Have a good one, folks xx12 -
Morning All
Beautifully sunny already but still quite chilly, at least the wind has dropped from yesterday. Washing to go out once I've had a shower.
The living room has been dusted, couldn't be bothered to do it yesterday, in fact I couldn't be bothered to do anything yesterday! Today will be better!
Contacted the greenhouse company, we have all the glass, just in the wrong place! Hopefully it can be swapped round later today and I'll be good to go. The company knew straight away what we had done wrong but if their instructions had been clearer .............
Have a good day in Glasgow Gers, you have lovely weather for the drive.
Enjoy your evening Zola.
Hope you're OK Florence.
Hoping your DM's are settled Ruby and Nelski.
Right, shopping to do this morning, the fridge is looking quite bare. Happy Friday, take care.XX13 -
morning folks and thanks GERS for starting us off. Have a safe drive down to Glasgow. Another fine sunny start and thankfully the stiff breeze from yesterday has dropped. It felt quite chilly out of the sun but lovely in it. The washing dried in no time. I pegged some more out last night so it should be dry this morning!
I can see what I am typing today!! I picked my new glasses up yesterday afternoon and it really came home to me how my eyesight had changed! I could see so much clearer in them but, with one thing and another and then Covid and restrictions I had left it far too long to have another test.
Friday Tidy today so another busy day (for me anyway!!) the kitchen and bathroom got done yesterday so that eases the burden a bit. I might even get on with resuming the window cleaning upstairs - or I might not!
DD and the girls are leaving the caravan early doors this morning as they need to be back for DGD's opening night! They have had a lovely 8 days there and so lucky with the weather. Me and Sparkle must try and get there more this year. I hope she hasn't forgotten being a Caravan Cat rather than a House Cat!
My grocery delivery arrived all p & c and no subs yesterday. Wow that's a first! Although when I think about it I haven't had one for a while as I have had a couple of trips to Aldi with DD. I am still wading my way through the freezers and there are gaps appearing. I think panic may set in soon 'cos if they aren't both rammed I start to worry! I am trying to eat all the oldest stuff first but give way to temptation when I spot something more tempting! I am (more or less!) keeping up with the inventory too!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. NELS hoping for better news from you soon. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -

Morning everyone and thanks for the start Gers. Hope your appointment goes well today and safe journey to Glasgow.
I got DDs bedding and towels washed and dried on the line yesterday as she’s now back at Uni. Gave the towels a short blast in the TD to soften them up. I also dusted and tidied the 5th bedroom. It was quite dusty as DH has been sanding down the doors to repaint them, and despite covering everything the dust had settled. Sorted out a bag for the charity shop and put some GCSE revision guides on FBMP for free collection. They are unused as DS2 didn’t sit GCSEs due to Covid. Hope to get to the charity shop today. I also did the ironing after logging off from work.
I had a ‘thanks but no thanks’ email from the external job. That’s fine, but that’s now 3 in a row that I didn’t get shortlisted for despite fitting the bill. I’m beginning to suspect that as a CS (of only 3 years) it’s putting them off. I don’t particularly relish being a CS as we get such a bad rep in the press. I’m here only by virtue of the fact that our arms-length body were moved into the department.
We are out for a curry takeaway tonight with friends. Other food will be from stores as still quite a lot in. Will clean kitchen today ahead of the weekend and do our washing too.
Bit of angst going on with a different thread that I read but don’t post on. Makes me feel really blessed to be part of this thread where everyone is friendly, supportive and non-judgemental.
Hugs to all the poorlies, those with worries and those going through tough times.
Have a good day all

Morning all
Bright and sunny day here but with a bit of a wind the washing will dry well today. I am meeting a new cleaner at mums today just for her to have a look around and see if she can do what we want, she is quite a young girl so should have a load more energy than me !!
Izzy I suffer from plantar too although its ok at the moment, Ive found the only thing to help is a lot of rest with feet up, also running your thumb lenghways down your foot from the heel to the toes quite hard, I went to a sports injury woman who told me the muscle gets wound up like a corkscrew and this will help to relieve the pressure, I feel for you at foot pain is just horrible xx
I will go and see mum later on she is seeing the OT today so hopefully it means she will be home soon, she will be more comfortable at home with her things around her, we just need to keep the nephew and all their family drama away from her, she really doesnt need that.
Something with chicken for dinner, I might do some sw chips and some salad with it.
Have good days all and take care xxx12 -

Good morning
Grey and cloudy ⛅ at the moment, I hope it brightens up as I have plans to clean all the windows today.
Will rake the new border and start planting it up later.
We're going out for a meal tonight, no celebration it's a just because we can😁 will probably be a 'spoons as that's DH favourite.
Camelot, I feel your pain with the greenhouse glass, we we're given a second hand greenhouse already dismantled. What a nightmare, we used youtube a lot to work out what went where, but we got there in the end😁
Have as good a day as you can 🌻11 -
Morning everyone
Bright and sunny here this morning. Yesterday it took all day for the fog to disappear and the sun to come out.
I've taken all the food out my small chest freezer as the ice is building up - hopefully it will be defrosted enough to put it back in before I go out later. Going down to do dads banking later this morning then I'm going to go into town with mam to have lunch, collect a prescription and post an ebay parcel. Mam has 3 hours respite on a Friday afternoon - dad has a male carer goes which he enjoys.
I'll pick little one up from nursery on my way home as DD is working for a few hours - she'll pick her up after tea - spaghetti bolognese out the freezer so nice and easy.
Can't remember if i said I'd spoken to my boss about going back to work next week - she said just to afternoons for the first week. I still get tired, but normal tired, not exhausted. Getting away for a few days helped a lot.
Well I'd better move myself. Hope everyone has a good day. Take care x11
