Thanks so much much for all the birthday wishes yesterday. I had a really special day with lots of cards, phone calls and pressies plus lunch out with friends.
Tesco order has just arrived so I had better put that away and then a friend is popping in for coffee.
best wishes to all, you really make up such a supportive thread10 -
Morning all. Definitely not sunny today, booo! Plans today include reading, learning and cleaning. I forgot to put out the green bin yesterday so that will have to wait another two weeks before being emptied but there probably won't be that much stuff to put in it at this time of year anyway. A rationalisation of kitchen equipemt is on the cards again, and I have plans to move the stones from out the front somewhere else and replace with some from the back garden. They are cotswold chippings but over the last five years have gone a horrible grey and black and dirty colour. That;s one in the future excercise pot. OH said why not pressure wash them with the patio attachment, I said no way are we paying electric and water to clean them, besides, i need the excercise and the other stones won't get as dirty because they're smooth. He loves plaing with the pressure washer, so do I really.Coxy, how disappointing, it really doesn't help when you feel undervalued in a company [errr..what's a CS?] Gers, good luck for today. camelot, oops, i take it back then
but yes, good instructions always help. TA, glad you can see clearly again! Izzy, I had that for years, so painful, went the whole nine yards with operations etc but as ruby says, the best thing was sports massge, it hurt, but it really did improve them significantly. But horses for courses etc, sketchers, fitflops etc will help too. Ruby, hope your mum has a good result today. YL, teacake o'clock? made me laugh
I totally agree about age being a number. I love talking to her, she has some lovely stories and a very accomplished and talented family. snoozer, hope you're less broken today..Take care today, April is showering....

Morning all, it's not a very nice day, it's grey skies and that very cold cutting wind is back ! Yesterday was lovely and warm in the sunshine and the patio table is now ready and prepped for a coat of paint, but that's not happening today as it's too cold. The chairs aren't too bad but will need a quick rub down before painting. It's done well as I had the set for my 50th birthday, many moons ago.
Today I need to sort out the bottom of the wardrobe as I got an avalanche of stuff greeting me yesterday, then I'm not sure what to do, work through my list I suppose. First I must start up the dw then another coffee calls before I tackle the wardrobe, I don't know why there's so much stuff in there 😱
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need.

Morning all
Went to the home yesterday and signed all mums money awayI couldn't see her but I heard her laughing in the social area so that was something. Apparently she was playing velcro bingo and winning! Brother went in the afternoon but could only see her through a screen for 20mins. Long long journey for 20 mins. Good news the home is open again for visits from Monday so won't be as restricted anymore.
Kitchen needs a scrub again but whether it gets done is quite another question. I will not give in to demands
Not sure about dinner but loads in so may be a picky plate
taff don't worry it didn't cross my mind x

Good news Nelski - you can rest a bit easier now. 😀
I got to my solicitor in good time and gave him my instructions for POA, my Will and the Advance Directive which should all be sorted next week. He's retiring soon so I also met my new solicitor who is a very young woman. After doing the boring stuff I took myself to the wee cinema for 'Secrets of Dumbledore', I sat in a very comfy seat with a large glass of (shockingly expensive) wine and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Came out into bright sunshine so a good day all round. I'm now in my hotel room ready to sleep. 😀8
