Good morning, bright sun, but chilly. Spent more time in the garden, pots on patio nearly finished, but so much weeding and sorting needed of the flower borders, oh for a crystal ball - we might not have bought this house with such a large garden, everything else about the property itself and the situation and neighbours is grand though. Made a Goan fish curry from a Simply Food box for supper, it was so nice, back to the drawing board for tonight.
Knit and Natter today, unfortunately I made a mistake and undid last week's work, nothing urgent so no matter.
Bella the floor sounds lovely, reminds me of a friends house from childhood.
Ruby hope the Doc can help. Well done you and DSis sorting out the house for your DM
Poppy have a very happy birthday.
Nels I hope you had some better news yesterday about your DM
Gers your evening sounds wonderful, I could almost imagine myself there.
Snoozer fingers crossed the move for the family will be settled soon, you must indeed be shattered.
Coxy good luck with job seeking, does indeed sound time to go.
TA new specs will be great, and well done for beating the front garden the other day.
Izzy fingers crossed it warms up where you are soon.
nmlc days off to look forward to - lovely.
Time to wield the Vac and get organised, have a good day all.

Good morning, all.
A restless night's sleep for some odd reason. My partner complained that I was tossing and turning in bed, and mumbling to myself about washing up liquid, clothes pegs and a wicker basket!!
A breezy morning with a few dark clouds floating by. 11C according to my weather station, although the forecast is for another sunny day with highs into the low 20s in the sunshine.
Keep on thinking today is Wednesday purely because of Easter Monday. Public holidays always throw me off kilter, but at least the weekend isn't too far away and I can get out and about in the shed and garage, both of which are in desperate need of a good Spring clean and declutter.
Time for a bowl of Alpen and some OJ xx15 -
Bella - what a lovely thing for you to have done, walking on that floor will trigger such happy memories.Snoozer - you are a whirlwind just now, hope you get some time to yourself. Seeing Johannes will be fabulous, I bought tickets to see Diversity in Glasgow next month.TA - happy new glasses day!Coxy - someone at your place of work is taking the **** good luck in the search for a new and better job. Being valued is half the battle in enjoying work.Camelot - still resting?Washing machine is whirring away, I put in a short cycle as nothing is actually dirty. The sun is taking it's time in coming out to shine but I have high hopes.12

Morning All
Bright and breezy this morning but quite cold. No washing to do today, the WM can have a rest! Need to have a dust of the living room as the chimney sweep was here yesterday. He also put a new seal on the door so I couldn't use the stove last night but thankfully I have a heated throw!
Friends came to finish the greenhouse last night (just when I was all snuggled up) but there's been a mix up with the glass, I'm missing one large pane but have 3 smaller panes spare. Need to phone them this morning to get that sorted out. It was so close to being finished.
Happy Birthday Poppy, hope you have a fabulous day.
That's really frustrating Coxy, hope you can find something soon.
Hope your Doctor can help Ruby and hope your DM can come home soon, you sound to be busy at her house.
What a lovely evening you had Gers, sounds idyllic. And yes, I'm still resting (ish).
That floor sounds lovely bella. There was similar flooring in my Mum and Dad's house but they covered it with carpet, hope the new owners kept it.
Here's hoping your DM is settled today Nelski.
Glad you're having a good time scarlett.
Hugs to those in need.
Enjoy today if you can, take care. XX12 -

Morning all. It did say showers for yesterday and we didn't have any, good job because I did the two loads fo washing and they were on the line. Confession time, they're still on the line, I'll fetch them in after, I was pooped after changing the bed so I napped..This new/old sofa is lovely but it isn't as comfy for napping. Nothing today, potter in the back garden probably. Maybe prune one of the olive babies. One of them is growing well, proper gerneral lollipop shape, the other is like a tangle of octopus limbs. And of course they're too close to the house but I'll be dead before that has an impact. Oops, got distraced, just got my new Carluccio books and an old DVD of his, and have been browsing...I didn't realise how many cookbooks I had until I started collating them. Now there are more...My name is taff and I am a bookaholic....Nelski,hope it goes well today. and again apologies for probably sounding like the equivalent of 'but have you tried?' , really not my intention...Ruby, how lovely you are pulling together to help your mother,I hope she can be home soon. Gers, your impromptu evening sounded lovely. Coxy, good luck in your future job search. And your dressmaking search! Bella, nostalgia is a thump in the heart, it's so bittersweet...Maddie, exactly the reason I want to get rid of my grass and go all Mediterranean and raised bed, much less maintenance but still able to grow what I like easily. Camelot, how disappointing, you'd think it'd be quite simple to count glass panes and shapes. Lovely friends though! YL, I'm hoping it will be, there's plenty of established planting out there so it shouldn't strangle much. Nanny, every time I cut the grass I remember you saying about time to do the edges...Have a good day if you can all, hope the best outcome happens for anyone waiting for one...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi13

Happy birthday Poppy.
I don't know what happened to the formatting on my post again, I did put some paragraphs in, honest.
I'm just having a break with a cuppa and a quick browse before cracking on with the cleaning, I might leave all the vacuuming to Steve when he comes back from the golf.12
