PIP - First review and deadline

Scotland has a separate government with the power to make its own regulations in this regard. I see no prospect of the government at Westminster taking a steer from the Scottish parliament (not under the current party of government anyway).Demerara said:Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.4 -

True, I am usually a cynic but for some reason I really bought into what I read !!

Just a quick update in the event it may be helpful to anyone else. Even though my review form is showing as delivered by Royal Mail on 21/04, this is not showing on the system yet (as expected). I have been told that they would add 14 days to my deadline and to call again next week to confirm that they have indeed received my form.

Yes, that's because it will have been signed for by someone from Royal Mail sorting office. A complete waste of money sending anything this way to DWP because it's not proof it's arrived. Proof of posting is free from any post office and is all you need. It can often take a few weeks to be added to the computer.Demerara said:Just a quick update in the event it may be helpful to anyone else. Ah that's helpful to know @poppy12345. Thanks. No more paying for postage then, I had no idea!

I called DWP today and they confirmed receiving my review form on 21/04 which is the date the sorting office signed it for.I queried about not receiving a notification of receipt of my form - when I applied I did receive a text when they received my form - and they said they no longer sent notifications? They also said current timescales for reviews are 12-14 weeks.0

I think 12-14 weeks is very optimistic.0

As I was warned by the knowledgeable folks here, obviously it's been over 12 weeks and I have not heard anything about my review. Not even about needing an assessment. My award is due to end in September and I have not received a single communication from DWP. Should I be worried? What should I do next?
