Seats overbooked

Hi all
Travelling wiz air Saturday 16 April 
11 40 pm flight 
a number of passengers couldn’t book in on line for some reason 
12 of us didn’t get on as overbooked

even paid extra 120 euros to get us onto standby

after sitting in airport for three hours no food or water got taken to a hotel

got picked up Sunday night 9 30 pm again to chaina airport Crete this flight cancelled due to problems at air traffic control Gatwick spent time at airport no food or drink taken to hotel approx 4 am

on Monday 18th April took of local time 2 40 pm arrived uk time 5 15 pm
i know I am entitled to compensation but is this for both the flights

any advice please should I use resolver or go direct
