Got any creative tips for using leftover chocolate Easter eggs?

I saw a Facebook post mentioning chocolate and banana toasties which I'd like to try.

And the other night I used some grated Easter egg as garnish for a ridiculous Mudslide cocktail.

There's the option to save them as Halloween handouts or for birthday cake toppers. Or you could eke them out in over a few weeks in the kids' lunchboxes.

Those of you with excess chocolate eggs, please let me know your ideas.

I never buy them for myself but will get creme eggs for him indoors.  And the only reason there are 4 out of 5 still in their egg cups is down to having covid.  Usually they never make it past midnight!

But if they aren't disposed of soon they will go where most unused edible things go - the food bank.

I used a fine cheese grater to shred one half of an egg, and then sprinkled the contents over a bowl of Cornish ice cream.

    Delish!
  • Surely one of the solutions is not to buy too many eggs in the first place?

We often have some chocolate egg as pudding after a meal, or eat a little bit with morning coffee.

I was about to say, don't buy so many.

I was gifted a bag of (very) Mini eggs and a Maltesers egg. The egg went to my niece and the Mini eggs were eaten Sunday evening.
