Thank you @Gerry1
It really does seem too good to be true - sounds like a win 🙂
I'll update to confirm success when the statement arrives, in the meantime I will enjoy the sun 🌞1 -

I'll update to confirm success when the statement arrives, in the meantime I will enjoy the sun 🌞It's an interest free - fee free - cash advance for any money withdrawn from an ATM.You will get 'warnings' on your CRA reports - and your mythical score goes down for 3 months - as it 'thinks' you're desperate and withdrawing cash for emergency measure. (Which of course you're not) It will however settle down after your 3 months, and your mythical score will go back to normal.Other than that, it's totally free of every charge and all interest.(My warnings didn't start appearing until after I'd posted my posts above).2 -

Not free for a ££ cash advance in the UK, but few people would use it for that.

I had understood that this use at ATMs was only good when abroad and not within UK.1 -
Few comments having skimmed through the various responses:
- ATM operators fee are charged by the local operator, independently and often in addition to other fees charged by the issuing bank. Whilst it is true that ATM fee are not overly common (in addition to the USA mentioned upthread, Spain and Greece are also countries were it is common), the OP mentioned using an ATM within the Hotel and these some times do carry fees.
- Whilst there are no fees or interest on Barclaycard side for ATM withdrawals, these still gets reported on the credit file and can have a negative impact (especially if done near some large credit application like a mortgage), so personally I would avoid it and would get a Chase UK account and debit card for ATM usage, where you will also get a better cashback on purchases if you are so inclined. As a matter of fact I have used it extensively in Sofia when it was first launched more than a year ago.
