would the retailer then says I refuse to return it, as I do not agree the return postage?
S75 places the same liability on the card provider as it does the retailer.
If the retailer is refusing to honour your rights of repair/replacement and return at their cost then contact the card provider and request a Section 75 claim.
thanks in general how long would a S75 claim take would it be lengthy or straight-forward, if my case involves a faulty part of the purchased goods?
Did you pay the retailer direct in full? Or using one of the deferred payment options?Life in the slow lane0 -
Paid in full. In terms of proof of fault: receipt of inspection/adjusted service appointment as well as the service receipt (£0 as the issue persists afterward) from halfords. Video clips/pictures showing the faulty part in action after adjustment. I am not sure if these are valid proof.

Receipt is not proof of issue. Video's are often not accepted due to system security.
You would need a written 3rd party report on the problem.
TBH is it is only just catching. Have you tried riding for a while with plenty of breaking to remove high points?Life in the slow lane0
