Morning all
Quiet around here, hope everyone is OK and has a nice weekend planned. I feel quite happy this morning, despite ongoing worries about DH and his health.
DH wants some timber to finish the new raised beds and it looks like it might be a trip into the big city to get some, which is a waste of diesel, but there is nowhere locally that has it in stock.
Some clean washing to put away, DW is on, I want to do a workout going easy on my ankle, then will potter a bit until DH comes back from work and we will go timber shopping.10 -
Morning all xx
I'm here 👋. Having a lazy start to the day. Brew 2 savoured and breakfast enjoyed. My bed is made, and I rinsed cans for recycling while the kettle was boiling. Oh, and I've sorted Sweetie's seed and water.
Thinking about getting dressed. 🤔. Yes I think I'll do that....don't want to frighten the neighbours when I go out to feed the birds 🤦♀️
Hope you are all well

This week has been one where I've just about done the basics, plus a trip to the allotment. For a couple of days I've been suffering from what I thought was sinusitis brought on by harsh cleaning products (eg Jeyes Fluid) which always happens, so I wasn't surprised. But...Having developed an annoying cough, I did a LFT, just in case. It was positive. No wonder I was struggling! So that's me grounded till after 1 May.I've done my dailies plus sorting my freezer and cooking the "I forgot about that" bits. Yesterday I went to the allotment, pulled the last of the leeks and weeded 3 raised beds. It's still a bit too chilly to do anything else with any confidence.I'll have to see how I feel about joining next week - but I'll be rooting for everybody anyway.A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

New glasses collected, distance ones are great, I am using the reading ones now and struggling, it might just be my eyes adjusting I'll give them until Monday, if this are still blurred I'll go back and ask for a check on them. My friend's glasses some time ago the lens had been mixed up with someone else but put into her frames, so we will see.Cat 2 'playing' with a wasp, so I have just removed the wasp.OH bike had a puncture 1/2 mile down the road, so he came back to fix it, he is not here now and no note so it must be sorted.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Morning all.
Sorry to hear you've been struck by the plague, basketcase - GWS x
Hope everyone else is feeling OK (or OK-ish) today xx
Things are slowly getting sorted here. Despite my spending most of yesterday glued to the computer, downloading info about my ancestors from the 1921 census (half-price this weekend, so very MSE!), I did manage to put everything back in place in the utility and do more filing in the study.
DS1 came on Friday evening and reversed the doors on the new FF, so it is now ready for useI need to do a big shop, but not today.
Today
- I need to make a sample of a happy face/sad face puppet before 9.00
- I must attend the Annual Church Meeting (AGM) after service
- I have a plant to deliver to a friend
- I have to visit a young family for baptism preparation at 3.00
- Rosie will need a walk
- I'd like to mow the lawn, which is very straggly, before the rain returns
- there are clean clothes to FUPA, then washing and ironing will all be up to date
- I need to find some food to keep us going - probably tuna, jacket potatoes and salad, judging by the contents of the fridge.
Happy Sunday, everyone!7 -
Morning all,
Sorry yet again, I have been AWOL from midweek, even though it was a short working week for me. Thursday working seems to throw me out completely, although after 6 months, you would think that I would be used to it. Anyway, deep breath, and carry on running behind to catch up with you all.
DD went back to uni last week, I think that she had done her “keep aged parents company” bit and was desperate for her freedom back! We had a lovely day yesterday with DSis and BiL, we haven’t properly caught up with them for maybe 3 years. Went for a long walk in bluebell woods in the afternoon, which was lovely, although DH had to work hard to keep up.
Today’s jobs are (or might be):
plant broad beans at the allotment - desperate for rain here.
sort out fridge and meal plan for the week
wm x 1 (already in and whirling)
HHI
juggle the plant babies which are taking up any available space in the DR (keeps it as a RoD, not wanting to break a habit).
Kaz - I have a trip back to the opticians planned for next week too. Since I had my new glasses, I am sure that the left eye is not right, and keep getting headaches too. I’ve given it 3 weeks, so it’s time to get them checked.
Have a lovely day all x7
