  • This may sound daft and random, but have you logged into the BBC I player app on your tv?
It unblocks radio/ tv etc and annoyingly they want you to log in at random times ( like everything these days)
    Just a thought..

I just say "Alexa, play Radio 3" and it just does. No special skill needs to be installed.
Asking me to "once off login" - I don't have app
Google demanded the same and linked to my laptop/app and BBC works fine.

Alexa played radio 2 a few times and now demanding a login to prove we have a liecen.
The online link above asks for an email address. You don't need a licence to listen on bbc sounds.

Sorry, but there is no link.
We have a licence but I'm not sure how to match it to Alexa without the app.
I have an amazon account and I think Alexa is connected to that.

There is no "Alexa preferences" on the smart speaker/tv.

It has a screen, my fault I think it's called Echo 8 but I call all of them inc the Goggle screens 'smart speakers' but sorry re the confusion.

Asking her to whisper might help. Try, "Alexa, enable whisper mode". Once enabled when you whisper to her she should whisper back.
