Morning everyone.
I am awake though can feel the urge to have a snooze creeping up on me, it's not often that happens so I'm going to give in to it.

Morning All
Hope you're still in the land of nod Gers!
Dry here but overcast, we're certainly not having the temperatures you're having down south but it's very mild here. Washing was dried outside yesterday surprisingly, more to go out today. Must finish the hoovering today, the battery ran out yesterday so it didn't get finished.
Ended up going to Glasgow yesterday with DD and the little one for a couple of hours, little one had her feet measured and I bought a pair of trainers, we stopped at Decathlon on the way back to get her some new walking boots that she wore out of the shop with the labels still on!
Cut the grass when I got back so that looks tidier, greenhouse still in it's wrapper! It won't get done today as I have the little one this afternoon and overnight, we may go swimming then visit a friend who has been poorly. I'll be completely pooped this evening so will probably go to bed when she does.
Hope you managed to rest that foot Ruby.
Horray to the builders finishing Nanny.
Thinking of you Nelski and NRA.
Have a good day, take care. XX14 -

Good morning, all
Had an extra hour in bed this morning, if only because I thought today was Sunday. (Yesterday I thought it was Saturday even though it was Friday)
A cloudy overcast morning, and if the weather forecast is to be believed nothing is going to change until a few bits of sunshine at around 8pm tonight!
Tonight is film night in our household. So what we generally do is we write 3 films on individual pieces of paper, put them in a pot and pick one out. And that will be our choice of film tonight.
Might visit the local farmer's market later this morning, for some fresh eggs, sausages and bacon as we might have a Full English tomorrow.

Rarely post on here these days but still read on a regular basis.
Sunny here, which is just as well as we're off to DD's for a family bbq. DS will be driving up from London to join us but leaving early to go back for a meal with some new work colleagues. I've made one of those easy puddings, which is mainly ginger biscuits, layered with lemon curd and mascarpone/double cream in a loaf tin. Had to make it yesterday so it all soaks in.
Also back from a lovely few days on the IoW (Jackie O's beloved island) so catching up with ironing etc.
Tomorrow we plan to recce a walk around Woburn, prior to leading it for a group of friends in May. The footpath goes through the Safari Park, near the elephant enclosure, so there's usually plenty to see there.
Have a good day everyone and enjoy the Easter weekend.

Morning all, Looks damp out here, but we'll see how it goes as the morning progresses. I don't have big plans really, household chores, German lesson online, knitting perhaps, and chilling on the last weekend of the Easter break. Hope you all have a decent day, hugs to anyone who is struggling.Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Well, that snooze lasted two hours. 😄 Now I've had a coffee and almost ready to face the day. And the day is dull and damp again.Yesterday I decided to buy some pots for the garden so went up to Oban. Hbase had plenty but not what I wanted so only bought two. I'm after a trough on wee legs and not plastic. On the way home I visited a couple of old friends, we sat and chewed the fat for ages. Most pleasant.Today I'm going to tidy up the utility room, the worktop has turned into a dumping ground so that needs cleared. I'm expecting a visitor later for a brief chat and that'll be my day!
Thoughts to our poorlies and their families. Happy Saturday to all.14 -
Morning all
Another bright and beautiful day here I have a towel wash on the go and another to go in after, they will all go on the line today.
Mum was kept in last night again, she had a scan from the top of her spine to her pelvis as she was in a lot of pain, she is on an IV drip and had some painkillers and was sleeping when we phoned, they are waiting for the results to come through and they are trying to work out why she fell, hopefully we will hear more today, she in the best place and is resting which is what she needs for now.
I had a very restful day yesterday I had a long soak in the bath and then got into bed ! I slept for a couple of hours and then came down and lay on the sofa, my foot feels a bit better, obviously staying off it helps, although I would like to go out somewhere today just for some fresh air but I wont overdo it.
We are going to bbq tonight we have some salmon steaks, some seabass which we got reduced and some prawns so we will have a fishy evening, we will cook some veg on the bbq and mix it with rice, the wine is chilling already !!
Hope you are all have a good day xxx13 -
Morning all. Slept fairly well last night after cricking my neck the night before. Persuaded OH to come to lidl with me yesterday and since he's much fitter than me he got to carry the shopping. worked out OK because he wanted alcohol, so he got to carry it home and I will partake of the white wine later...My sister and I have tentatively arranged a time to go to Italy, it'll probably be for a month in September ish. I am pushing for driving there, she is pushing for flying. If we're going for a month I'd rather drive. I can take my DIY stuff with me to sort out the stupid house. And see a bit of France and Switzerland.Today, not a lot, venture out to fetch my tablets, potter in the garden, do some internet stuff. Tea tonight will be a picky one with mortadella, prosciutto etc, I've made a rice salad yesterday, so no thinking there. But now that Zola has said fried breakfast, I'm thinking about that too...Ruby, sorry about your mum, I hope she's more comfortable today...Ah, I see she was kept in. Good to know theyve got the painkillers right, it's no fun being in pain. Hope it's nothing serious and it's only a trip or something. I used to despair with my parents, they were so stupidly stubborn. Nanny, nice to see he's finally finished...For now! da da daaaaa! Zola, good idea v no gadgets, unfortunately, we only have computers to watch things with, so we'd be stuffed...Maybe we should do it and specify X Box and mobiles...WL, your pudding sounds lovely. TA, glad it went well for her. Take care of yourselves this weekend, have a lovely denominational or non-denominational or pagan or whatever Easter..Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12

Morning all, the sun is out but it's not as bright as yesterday, not yet anyway. Yesterday turned out to be a lovely sunny day and I spent most of it in the garden. Mr Fix It dug out some soil and I then barrowed about 10 loads of it from the back garden to the front, just to fill in the gap left between the new walls and the garden as the garden now needs levelling. In the afternoon I sat for a while on the patio and read the magazine I bought on holiday in Feb, I didn't have time to read it then 😂 Hopefully I was topping up my vit D while listening to the birds and boy were the doves noisy in the trees. There was lots of wing flapping as Mr D chased Mrs D for a bit of what comes naturally but don't think she wanted to comply !
Today I have stripped the bed and the bedding is waltzing in the wm, I'll hang it out when it's done. The upstairs will be dusted and hoovered and then the downstairs will have a lick and a promise. I need to clean out Teddy rabbit too and give him a run in the hall, but I'll put Mr Fix It on guard on the stairs though as I'm not chasing the rabbit up them this time, he was gone like a shot 😲
Tea ? maybe a salad today.
Thinking of Nels and NRA.
Take care and hugs to all. Enjoy the day whatever you are doing.

Hi everyone,
Taff, whereabouts in Italy. We drove down to Chris and Crystal's wedding in Spoleto (middleish), stopping in Balgium and Innsbruck. We've also done an Italian road trip taking in Lake Maggiorre, the Cinque Terre, Amalfi Coast, Florence and Venice. Just writing about it makes me want to go back. I'd definitely drive if you can persuade your sister.
Waiting for Laura, Esben and Chris and Crystal to arrive for an impromptu lunch. It will be sausages from the local farm shop, barbecued in buns.
Have a good day.13
