And turning it off while you are on a two week holiday would save around 70p.

I once returned from holiday to find my router converted to a turd of black plastic on the floor as a result of a lightning strike on the power supply. This was despite the fact that the electricity was turned off at the fuse box.

So there is something to be said for unplugging electrical equipment if you are away for some time.
