I’m with SoEnergy they give you your estimated annual use based on previous years, with me it’s bang on. Obviously they divide that by twelve and that’s your monthly payment. If your supplier doesn’t do that then you should be able to do it yourself.
All suppliers to that or something close to it, the question is always how accurate the estimate is and of course any changes in your own consumption pattern can affect that.

It’s the closest you can get though.

As long as it is based on actual meter readings I agree, just never assume that the suppliers estimate is accurate, always check for yourself.

    I wouldn’t dream of it.

The major problem with british gas is that actual bills are as rare as hen's teeth & I certainly wouldn't be with them after last time if I could have avoided it.  I keep a spreadsheet with my own bills every month & another with their bills.  I always work out what their bill should be before I get it.  That isn't difficult because it takes them so long to produce the bill after you give them the readings.  I would still do this even if I had a smart meter   I do miss peoples energy as I used to give them my readings & the bill was produced within the hour.

The person on this thread reckoned they were £11,000 in credit!
They've gone very quiet, though. I wonder if they'll be back with their meter readings and tariff details?

Thank you all so much for help and guidance.  I've emailed them with up to date meter readings so just waiting on a reply.
