need to pay for full course?

I signed up to do yoga teacher training and paid for 1st module plus deposit which was £785 (course comprises of 4 modules which totals £2300 so I assume remaining modules would be cheaper) . After having attended 1st module, I reflected on my experience for a few weeks and decided not to continue. So, I contacted tutor to let her know with my reasons and concerns re course (confidentiality, no health screen, contraindications, venue changes, asking about pre existing conditions) She did not acknowledge concerns but asked me to pay for manuals issued stating £100 as price. She then emailed a few days later saying she had spoken to organisation running training and I need to pay full course fee as stated on website-I am unsure does she mean company website or her website. 1st module payment was made to her via debit payment. I have checked her website and company website she runs courses on behalf of and found this:
'SCOTLAND 2022: £2300
Includes comprehensive course manuals all meals and accommodation for the residential modules
Register and pay £300 non-refundable deposit one month before the 1st module and receive £60 discount
Remaining payments are made in increments.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FULL MODULE FEE IS PAYABLE EVEN IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND. You can then cover that module at an alternative venue or at another time for no extra cost.'
I assumed that meant 1st module non refundable along with deposit.
I have checked companies house for tutor's name. her company name and company she runs training on behalf of and found nothing.
Can anyone assist as not sure my rights? Have looked at consumer acts but none the wiser.
Thanks
Angela

When you signed up you should have been sent some terms and conditions of the contract you entered into. Take a close read of these.
As a general principle, if terms of a contract are ambiguous they are considered to fall in the favour of the weaker party (in this case, you).2 -
I read that as the entire course is £2300.If you sign up and deposit one month before module 1 then you receive a £60 discount.1

The information you have posted certainly reads to me as if it is referring to the 1st module.

To me course is split in to modules ie you pay the first then decide whether to continue or not. Otherwise the fees would be covered up front (perhaps payable at various intervals.
Does Yoga have a governing body? You might want to talk to them first.1 -

There is most certainly a contract. Whether it's signed or in writing is irrelevant. The difficulty with a verbal contract is in proving what was agreed. No free lunch, and no free laptop1
