In desperate need of washing machine. I normally research like mad before a big purchase but just dont have much time on this so thought I would ask on here.
If you have just bought a 1600 spin speed , A or B energy rated , relatively inexpensive machine (below £450) and think it's very good, could you tell me the model and where you got the best price please? (I can plumb it in myself and get rid of the old one, but would need delivery)
Thanks for help

Hope you get someone who can help with your query, personal recommendations are the best. If not then buying white goods is the one time I bother with a 1 month sub to online Which? (£2.99, or free down your local library).

Purchased a washing machine 6 months ago. It is a C rating Bosch 4 series with 1400rpm. No complain
Starting with ao.com
Select A & B energy rating with 1600 rpm spin.
It left with Hoover, Candy & Beko
1400 rpm have a lot more option...

Have a look on https://www.hotukdeals.com and search on washing machine for any deals. There are usually one or two.0

Thanks for helpYour 1600 spin speed is restricting choices a lot. Do you really need that?We just bought a Samsung 8Kg 1400 spin speed B rated machine from John Lewis for less than £400 delivered (and old one taken away). It has a 5 year warranty once registered and seems fine - apart from the user manual, which is fairly poor, but we figured out the important stuff like how to wash clothes in it!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. I would look at JL as always find the after care very good on other tings we had, and 5 years is a great period of no stress.
I'll have a look now for that, what model number was it please?
EDIT - Just had a look but the 5 years warranty on a Samsung is an extra £100?0 -
You need to look at spin efficiency not spin speed.2

The ratings have changed some will still be old the old A+++0

All that we saw in store are on the new energy rating labelling, and then the ones on JL and AO web sites are too.
The thing I wanted to know but they couldn't 100% be sure about was how an old A+++ compares to a new A or B or C rated one.0 -
Anyway, had to get one quick , and delivered , so went for a Beko on AO - cheap and cheerful but ticks all the boxes
The old one was Beko and lasted ages (after changing the brushes and doing some other minor maintenance)0
