I'm wondering if anybody can help........my parents bought a share of a property on a diyso scheme in 1992.......on this scheme you can only purchase up to 75% and then staircase up to 100% while paying rent on the share you don't own.......we found a property we liked and the HOUSING ASSOCIATION PURCHASED the property and then sell us the agreed share.......this is what I discovered in the last 2 years. My parents had a agreement to purchase a 75% SHARE....before the HOUSING ASSOCIATION revealed what the cost of the 75% SHARE was THEY PUT A BID INTO THE BANK FOR THE ENTIRE PROPERTY IN MY PARENTS NAME AND THE BANK ACCEPTED THE OFFER DESPITE BOTH THE BANK AND HOUSING ASSOCIATION KNOWING EXCACTLY WHAT WE WAS PURCHASING......THEY USED THAT ACTION TO REDUCE OUR 75%SHARE OFFER TO ONLY 50% AS WE COULD NOT AFFORD THE ENTIRE PROPERTY ANYWAY, AND YOU CANNOT PURCHASE 100% ON THE SCHEME.....HOW DID THIS HAPPEN.....THE HOUSING ASSOCIATION WHO BOUGHT THE PROPERTY VIA THE SCHEME REGISTERED THE PROPERTY AT THE LAND REGISTRY WITH THE WRONG ADRESS.....THE ADRESS IN OUR LEASE PUTS HOUSE LOCATION AND POSTCODE IN CAMBERWELL THAT ADRESS DOES NOT EXIST............. WHEN THE PROPERTY IS IN PECKHAM.......WHEN MY PARENTS MOVED IN ALL LETTERS SENT TO PROPERTY SINCE 1992 WAS SENT TO HOUSE IN PECKHAM WITH A POSTCODE NOT REGISTERED IN THE LEASE....THAT POSTCODE IS THE CORRECT POSTCODE, THAT SHOULD BE IN THE LEASE...... BUT IT'S NOT? THE PREVIOUS OWNER OF PROPERTY IN PECKHAM HAD THE PROPERTY REGISTERED TO THE POSTCODE THAT SHOULD BE IN MY PARENTS LEASE BUT IS NOT...... THE CORRECT ADDRESS IS IN THE PREVIOUS OWNERS CHARGE SHEET FROM 1985 AND NOT IN OURS FROM 1992..? OUR MORTGAGE REFERENCE NUMBER CONNECTED TO OUR MORTGAGE FOR PECKHAM PROPERTY IS NOT SEEN IN FRONT OF OUR LEASE IN FACT IT'S HIDDEN ON THE LAST BLANK PAGE AT THE VERY BACK OF OUR LEASE.....A SMALL RUBBER STAMP WITH OUR MORTGAGE NUMBER.....HOW IS THAT NOT FRONT AND CENTER....? THE LEASE WAS AMMENDED 3MONTHS AFTER EXCHANGE OF CONTRACTS....DOES THIS MEAN THE CONTRACTS WERE EXCHANGED LATER THAN WHAT WE WERE TOLD..........THIS HAPPENED WHEN THE BANK HELD THE LEASE IN THEIR SAFE FROM EXCHANGE OF CONTRACTS......ALL OF THIS HAPPENED WHEN MY FATHER WAS RETIRED BACK IN 92......THEY GAVE MY PARENTS A FULL REPAIR AND INSURING LEASE DESPITE THE FACT WE ONLY OWN A 50% SHARE .....SO ENTIRE PROPERTY FROM ROOF TO GROUND..... FRONT GARDEN... BACK GARDEN ..INSIDE PROPERTY WAS MY PARENTS RESPONSIBILITY..........BECAUSE THE WAY THEY DREW UP THE LEASE WE NOW ON PAPER OWN 2 PROPERTIES 1 IN CAMBERWELL 1 IN PECKHAM........THE HOUSE IN CAMBERWELL IS THE PROPERTY IN PECKHAM......PECKHAM PROPERTY IS NOW A FLAT AT THE SAME TIME......SOUTHWARK COUNCIL HAVE INFORMATION THAT MY PARENTS ARE A LANDLORD AND WE ARE RENTING THE PROPERTY IN PECKHAM TO A TENNANT............THAT PERSON IS MY DAD?....AT THE MOMENT THEY HAVE MY FATHER LIVING AT 2 LOCATIONS AT THE SAME TIME....THIS MESS BRINGS IT ALL BACK TO THE PROPERTY WHICH SEEMS TO HAVE 2 DIFFERENT POSTCODES AND 2 DIFFRENT LOCATIONS...AND 2 DIFFERENT MORTGAGE REF NO..?...AND 2 IDENTITYS 1 BEING A HOUSE AND THE OTHER A FLAT....(OUR DOOR NUMBER is (Removed by Forum Team))......THERE IS MORE THINGS GOING ON AND IT'S BEEN GOING ON NOW FOR 30 YEARS.......CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME GOOD INFORMATION OR A RECOMENDATION AS TO WHAT TO DO NEXT........I HAVE ALL THE EVIDENCE THAT PROVES ALL OF THIS.......NEED SOME GUIDANCE.

You might want to edit your post to use proper capitalisation, punctuation and paragraphs otherwise you're unlikely to get any useful replies. Currently your post is just a massive wall of unintelligible shouty text which means that most people won't be bothered to read it all.

In honesty, that sounds like an unholy mess, and you should get legal advice. Anthony Gold Solicitors in London have people who specialise in shared ownership. (Look them up - I'm not allowed to post links here, unfortunately.) Otherwise, see if there is a Law Centre local to you that could help, or even Citizens Advice. Shared Ownership is dodgy at the best of times (I know, I bought into it myself) and the situation you describe is way too complicated for anyone on an advice forum to give clarity on. Good luck.0
