In credit more than £11,000 with British Gas and they won’t give it back!

    Are you able to post a copy of this up (with personal information removed), as it seems astonishing that any supplier would allow an account to run up that high a credit balance, when bills have been generated.
    Suppliers routinely allow debit balance to build up to £2000 which usually triggers action to forcibly install a prepayment meter if the debt is nt quickly reduced   . The highest debt  I ve seen on a prepay meter is £10,000 pounds on a gas prepay meter  .£2 k debts were common so they certainly won t mind a £2 k credit
