Flybe Adminstration & Unused Credit Vouchers

I had a £600 credit voucher with Flybe, prior to its administration in March 2020. Does anyone know if I am entitled to claim this back, or if the new 'Flybe' have to revalidate it??

are you registered as an unsecured creditor with the administrators?
the new owners bought the brand and some assets not the debts

    Neither.

This is a new company which just happens to have bought the rights to the Flybe name from the liquidators of the old business.

As Caz3121 mentions, you may be listed as an unsecured creditor of the old business. I am not sure if their financial affairs have been sorted but I sadly think you would be looking at pennies in the pound, if anything.
  • I believe I am registered as an unsecure creditor, yes.  But don't seem to be getting anywhere with updates, although from what you are saying, it doesn't sound likely i'll be entitled to anything at all....

just a thought but did your travel insurance cover scheduled airline failure? (although not sure how they would treat a voucher...may depend on whether the voucher was as a refund for a flight or whether it was a goodwill payment)

The debts are around £900 million, don't wait for the postman. your money is gone. As far too many have discovered in the last 2 years when the option is cash or a bigger voucher, take cash every time

But EY has said it intends to make a legal application not to distribute the money which has been set aside for unsecured creditors because it would not be cost effective. In other words, so little cash is in the pot the creditors would receive hardly anything so it is not even worth distributing it.
