Euros current account for holiday spending

Options

I'm getting married in Italy this year and my fiance is Italian but is resident in the UK.
This means that she can't hold a bank account in Italy.

For our wedding gift list, we're inviting our guests to send money so that we can spend in Thailand for our honeymoon using the euros we're given.

Is there a way of us receiving euros in a bank account which we can then spend in Thailand without facing huge charges or losing on currency exchange into pounds Sterling?

I have a Starling £GBP account and then, once that was active, I added a Euro account to it.

Yes, a Starling Bank account would work well, and their debit card has no fees or exchange markup for foreign use. Similarly a Wise account (formerly TransferWise), which is not actually a bank with FSCS protection so best not used for holding large sums, but would also be good backup for travel.
